BUCKWHEAT FLAPJACKS


They are hearty and stick with you on a cold winters day. Although, you can make these flapjacks anytime of year, just change the toppins'.

you'll need..


1 C. whole wheat pastry flour

1/2 C. buckwheat flour
3/4 tsp. Real Salt
1 tsp. rapid rise yeast
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 Tbsp. maple syrup or honey
2 Tbsp. coconut oil
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 orange, zested
1/2 C. hemp milk ( almond, coconut, rice...)

to do..
Mix dry ingredients. 

Then add melted coconut oil, zest and vanilla.

Slowing pour in milk while whisking.

May thin with more milk or water if needed.

In a hot griddle melt enough coconut oil to coat the pan. 
Ladle batter onto griddle to make small flapjacks 
or more batter for a large jack.

* Top with cinnamon roasted pears, almonds and maple syrup.
