PORT TOWNSEND | WASHINGTON PART 3

Port Townsend, WA For the Rose Theater, local owned shops,
brick buildings adorned with vintage ads,
the food co-op and waterfront victorian charm.

Rose Theater was built in 1907 and renovated in 1992, a true gem.
Step back in time to the era of 'The Movies'. Seeing a movie here is the real deal, each movie is personally introduced by a Rose Theater host. In August, Port Townsend hosts a film festival.

Funky abodes dot Port Townsend neighborhoods.
Pan d'Amore bakery for it's old-world feel, organic, real bread. I swear by sourdough bread & their seedy whole wheat sourdough bread is a piece of art.
Chetzemoka Park is a charming park, take your
brunch & have a picnic amongst the locals.
Its not unusual to see deer wandering the grounds.
Crow Quill Night Owls at Hanazono Asian Noodle- Halloween 2012

Love this local find; jug band, rags and all that jazz. They sell their album in a brown paper lunch bag. If you like  bootleggers & long legged nancy janes, this is your jug of moonshine. Hanazono Asian Noodles menu looked enticing but all we had was the toasted brown rice green tea. So simple but so sweet.

Port Townsend captured our fancy. We new it was a tourist destination but as we spent more time their we discovered noteworthy gems & a friendly local community.
